Opel Manta GSE ELECTROMOD is fully launched as a one-time concept

Opel has sodated us with an electric vintage-style manta since March with a Manta GSE electricity. Our previous report said we did not know whether Manta GSE would make it for production, but it looks like we now have an answer.

Opel officially reveals the GSE electric manta in all retro-inspired glory. It not only looks good, but keep hoping we ended up getting the restomod built in a factory without pain (and high cost) the original donor car source. However, EV Magnificent Opel will remain a one-time concept. If we all send some love (on social media or what), maybe the German car maker will reconsider?

“Manta GSE impressive shows the enthusiasm with which we built a car in Opel,” said Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller. “It combines our great Opel tradition with current commitment to emission-free mobility for a very desirable and sustainable future.”

Opel claimed the Manta GSE electricity is the answer to a growing community of fans that turn classic cars such as manta into restomods with modern technology and enhanced designs. And if you are wondering, mod in electricity means changes, modifications, and modern sustainable lifestyles.

Under the muscular cuda-esque hood, Opel GSE electricity has a 104 kW electric motorbike sending 147 horsepower to the rear wheels. According to Opel, the driver “has the choice to manually shift the four original speed gearbox or just pull the fourth teeth and then drive automatically.” This modern gearbox will be interesting to be seen in the production model, but it will be cold to manually paddle gear in retro EV inspired retro. Does it have a clutch pedal? Who knows!

Of course, it’s hard to talk about Opel Manta GSE electricity without mentioning the original coupe body shape, with lines and curves that are blocking to the original Manta 70s. In front, it has an innovative front pixel-vizor grille that displays text charts to pedestrians and other vehicles on the road. Integrated into the grille screen is LED Daytime Running and LED Headlights. Behind, three-dimensional talam lights resemble a rocket booster on a combat jet.

Oh, and how can we miss beautiful 17-inch Ronal alloy wheels and sporty tires, low profile? Inside, Opel Manta GSE surrounds the driver and passenger with the Alcantara door panel and Matt Gray. The new technology feature includes a 12-inch double screen and 10 inches for instrument panels and infotainment systems and Marshall Bluetooth boxes to handle driving songs.
