NASA Mrs. Helicopter’s error plan

Mars Ingenuit Helicopter has been very successful with the five previous test flights that NASA has announced now planning a sixth flight. This mission is in the current planning stage and is expected to occur next week. NASA shows that this flight will be the first executed under the phase of the helicopter operation demonstration and will see the Scout helicopter some surface features of the air and land on different airfaces.

Ingenuity will send data and images from flights to earth in the days after the mission. One of the main differences between this mission and the other is that the Sekoverance Rover will not record a helicopter image on a flight because it is currently preparing for the initial science operations. The flight plan for the sixth flight will see the plane up to 33 feet before heading southwest for around 492 feet.

This will get an interesting area color image because it is translated to the south for a distance of 50 to 66 feet. During the mission, ingenuity will capture the stereo image of sand ripples and bright rock outcrops on the site to show the value of a air perspective for future mission. After the helicopter finish completing the image operation, it will fly around 164 Northeast feet, where it will land on a new operating base known as the C field.

NASA plans to continue to expand the performance envelope for ingenuity during this test flight. The mission planner intends to reach the highest high speed over about nine mph, and ingenuity will spend around 140 seconds in the air. Another interesting aspect of this mission is that it will mark the first ingenuity will land on the airfield that was previously not surveyed from the air. Ingenuity relies on images from Hirise cameras on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter which shows a relatively flat airfield with several surface barriers.
