Fox, ‘Rick & Morty’ Plan Creator Plan A Blockchain and NFT-activated animated series

During the presentation upfront on Monday, Fox told advertisers about the new animated series that leaned on two keywords that you must have heard even if you don’t know what it is: Blockchain and NFT. Krapopolis, from the community and Rick & Morty Creator and Harmon, are “An animated comedy set in ancient Greece myths” after gods, humans, and monsters try to live side by side.

Where Crypto-buzz comes in several ways. Fox launched its own NFT company, Blockchain Creative Labs, along with the show to “make, sell, and manage nfts, tokens, and digital items.” Thus, Krapopolis will be the first show that is always “curated all in blockchain.”

What does it mean? Well, besides representing a way to cash the popularity of the show (assuming it follows the Rick & Morty fan road that pursues collectible tie-ins), this is also about advertising. Hollywood reporter quotes CEO Fox Charlie Collier told advertisers that “just as we do this for our own animation, we will also help your brand directly connected with fans and fans through NFTS. With and for you, Fox will help the brand. Meet technology”
