Russian actress can be the first to film the film on the ISS
Russian officials announced last weekend that Soyuz rockets will be launched from Nelayonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on October 5, 2021, bringing an actor and director to shoot what is expected to be the first feature film made in space. Russian actress is a 36-year-old Yulia Peresild, which has a long list of theaters and verifies film credit for its name.
Pereslid was chosen by the State Commission to play instructions in a film titled “Challenge.” Director of the film, Klim Shipenko, will also go into space along with the actress to oversee filmmaking. Russian officials said the Soyuz spacecraft will be anchored with ISS to start film production.
The Russian crew must be quick to take the title of film shot first in space. Actor Tom Cruise was planning flights to ISS in October to film long drama features at the space station. Cruise film is being supported by NASA CEO and SpaceX Elon Musk. Tom Cruise was significantly older than Russian actress at the age of 59 years.
While everyone knows Tom Cruise from the main role such as “top pistols” and “impossible mission” franchises, many may not get used to peresildes. He played a major role in the 2015 film called “Battle for Sevastopol,” where he played the Red Army sniper. Shipenko Director is known to be the best for a film titled “Salyut 7,” which is a dramatization of the Soviet mission to save the Orbital Space Station.
The real drama has brewed between NASA and Russia in recent months. Russia has hinted that it might come out of the ISS program completely. Russia and China also increases their cooperation in space, with China working at the space station itself.
