China Zhurong Rover Started its Mars Exploration

Recently China only became the second country on the planet to land an explorer on Mars. This six-wheel rover is powered by solar energy and rotates the road from landers and to the surface of Mars at 10:40 a.m. Beijing on Saturday. Zhurong was significantly smaller than NASA Rovers operated on Mars, with a weight of 240 kilograms.

The solar panel makes the rover look rather like a butterfly. China’s mission includes the orbiter, landers, and explorers, who left the Earth on July 23, 2020. On May 15, landers with Rover up to the surface of Mars in the southern part of the utopia plaitia. The Chinese National Space Administration said that Rover had the expected age of at least 90 days.

During its operational time on the red planet, Zhurong will take pictures of the Mars landscape using a three-dimensional three-dimensional imaging system and analyze the composition of the soil on the surface of the planet. China said Rover would also detect the lower structure of the surface and magnetic fields when searching for ice water traces. Zhurong will also observe the weather environment on Mars.

Rover has several scientific instruments, including medan cameras, radars to explore the planet’s sub-surface, magnetic field detector, meteorological monitoring system, multi-spectral camera, and surface composition detector. The orbiters will remain in the orbit around Mars for the whole year of Mars, which is 687 earth.

While Rover operates, the orbiter will deliver communication and perform its own scientific operations. Zhurong will explore the surface of Mars at a speed of about 200 meters per hour and the ability to overcome the obstacles of up to 30 centimeters while climbing the slope up to 20 degrees. China said the rover was the first on Mars to have an active suspension system.
