Twitter verification request was arrested again
Twitter once again postponed verification requests, only a week since starting to take the application check blue again. Users with claims on fame – whether based on their role as activists or influencers, journalists, or professional athletes – now will have to be patient once again before they can request a coveted blue badge, even though this time it says on the social network waiting will be a little shorter.
“We rolled out in verification requests,” said Twitter verified account this afternoon. “So we have to pause the break to accept again for now while we review that has been sent. We will immediately open the request! (We swear).”
Verification has become one of the most understood elements of life on Twitter because the blue check mark first began to appear. Initially, the rules where the company decided who was worthy of the badge was quite clandestine, even though over time it explained a little more about its policy. In general, this sign is designed to show that someone is who they claim, help avoid false accounts from being serious.
But the managed verification method has confused the process. Some users have their check marks after breaking Twitter rules, for example, leading to the suggestion that the system is that much punishment about validating authenticity. With fake news increased exponentially, Twitter chose to postpone verification requests about three years ago.
When the system returns, it’s a little additional transparency. Those who ask badges must now fall into one of six general categories:
However, they also have to have a complete profile, with the name, image, and confirmed telephone number or email address. Twitter can request a copy of the ID issued by the government to verify identity, and users who want to be verified need to be active on the site in the past six months. Beyond it, however, there are also requirements about behavior on Twitter.
If, for example, you are punished by locking 12 hours or 7 days in the last 12 months for violating Twitter rules, you will not be verified.
Twitter progressively add an application option to a user account after announcing it reopened for verification requests. Now, they will disappear again while working through this new backlog. There is no word at this stage at the time, precisely, it will activate it again.
