Twitter explained how the ticket room will work for paid events

Twitter continues to explore ways for its users to make money from their followers, and have shared more details about the latest business ticket space today. The company has expanded features such as clubhouses that allow people with at least 600 followers to make special audio events called spaces. The ticketed room will allow users to charge them to enter these rooms.

The host ticket room will be able to set the entry price and the number of tickets available. A Twitter spokesman told Engadget that “the host can produce up to 80 percent of the income on ticket sales after the cost of the platform is deducted on the sale of purchases in the application.” That means the user must expect Twitter to take a cost of 20 percent after the cuts taken by Google and Apple from Android and IOS in the application payment. Ticketed space will use the payment processing strip to facilitate sales, and those who want the host will need a stripe account.

A report from the threshold added that users who want to host the ticket room need to have at least 1,000 followers. They also have to be 18 years or more and have hosted at least three spaces in the last 30 days.

According to a spokesman for Twitter, people can submit a request to be part of the test group in its application, and plan to choose their first host set a few weeks after the application is open. While anyone around the world will be able to buy tickets to the paid room, only those who can sell tickets for now. It is unclear when the application will open, but given the expansion of spaces to more people earlier this month, it looks like Twitter might be ready to start this soon.
