Audio Storytel comes to Spotify later this year
Starting at the end of this year, Spotify will allow Storytel customers to link their accounts for Spotify. After the integration of life, it will make the spotify place where you can listen to the audiobook. Basically, it means you can go by having one more installed application on your mobile because now you need an iOS or Android Storytell application to access the platform catalog on the cellphone.
Storytel is available in 25 countries globally, including Germany, South Korea and Sweden, and offers more than 500,000 audio books, some of which you can listen to in English. The company uses a subscription model that is different from what is heard. Instead of buying credit and exchanging for audio books, you pay a monthly fee for unlimited access to the library.
With today’s announcement, Storytel is one of the first major publishers to utilize the Spotify open access platform (OAP). Technology, announced in addition to the planned subscription of the company’s podcasts, allows publishers and creators to flow their content through Spotify when using existing login systems. “Audiobooks is just one audio form that will be available using the open-open access platform – the possibility in audio is unlimited,” said the company, noting it would have more to share in front of this year.
